Tour overview

Out of all of our Galapagos Islands packages, this 8-day/7-night tour is the most thorough and luxurious as you’ll island-hop with the superyacht Aqua Mare as your basepoint. Enjoy a Galapagos Island trip with plenty of opportunities to hike, kayak, snorkel and more, all next to endemic and local wildlife. From white sand beaches of Santa Cruz Island to lava flows on Santiago Island, this tour demonstrates the archipelago’s diverse landscapes and evolutionary charm.

Day by Day

Upon your international arrival to Quito, Ecuador, you will take a short flight to Baltra Island from where you will be transferred to the jetty to board your luxury vessel, Aqua Mare. Settle in and enjoy lunch aboard the yacht as the adventure begins.

In the afternoon, your first Galapagos excursion will be a visit to the white sand beach of Bahia Barrero on Santa Cruz Island where a variety of endemic and migrant finches live. Snorkeling nearby sea turtles is an option as this is one of their primary nesting sites. Afterwards, return to the ship to enjoy a sumptuous meal.

Meals included: lunch and dinner.

This morning you’ll start your day upon Genovesa Island, specifically on the coralline beach of Bahia Darwin. This section of the island is a caldera and its bowl-like formation is ideal for both hiking and snorkeling. After lunch, you’ll head across the rocks of El Barranco to spot fur seals resting along the cliff sides. A short yet scenic hike to the lava fields will bring red-footed boobies and frigatebirds into view.

In the evening, back on Aqua Mare, enjoy a private screening of a movie or enjoy the simple beauty of a sunset.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Powered by a healthy breakfast on board the ship, you’ll have a dry landing on Santiago Island to check out recent lava flows.

After lunch, you’ll visit Sombrero Chino Island, which is surrounded by clear water that is popular with sea lions and penguins. Spend the afternoon kayaking, snorkeling or stand-up paddle boarding. Your full-day adventure will conclude with dinner aboard Aqua Mare.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

An early morning anchor at Bartolome Island followed by an easy hike will gift you with a spectacular view of Pinnacle Rock, a large sandstone formation. Snorkel in the waters surrounding this island for the chance to encounter sea turtles or Galapagos penguins.

After lunch on the yacht, sail to Dragon Hill on Santa Cruz Island, historically renowned for its thriving population of land iguanas. End your day with dinner and a sunset on board.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Still anchored at Santa Cruz Island, start the day with a visit to the Giant Tortoise Reserve to get an up-close look at these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat (accompanied by quite a few species of birds). Because the Galapagos Giant Tortoises are so unique to the area, lunch will be followed by a visit to a local Breeding Center.

After a stop at Puerto Ayora, enjoy superfruit juices back on board the yacht.

For avid divers, there is the option to spend the day diving instead of participating in today’s tours.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

This morning you’re invited to take part in a guided meditation on the upper deck of Aqua Mare before embarking on today’s excursion in Punta Suarez. This interesting visitor site is thriving with endemic wildlife, such as lava lizards, marine iguanas and the waved albatross.

In the afternoon head to a set of islets that will provide an opportunity to snorkel alongside sea lions and a colorful array of reef fishes. Before heading back to the yacht for Happy Hour, enjoy a final visit of the day to Bahia Gardner and its outstanding colony of sea lions.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

It’s the penultimate day of your Galapagos Islands trip and today you will head to the 3.6-million-year-old Santa Fe Island. Forested with palo santo trees, prickly pear cactus, and many other varieties of flora, this ancient island is inhabited by a myriad of fauna, including lizards, iguanas, and mockingbirds. There will be opportunities to snorkel, kayak, or practice stand-up paddleboard.

In the afternoon, the boat will navigate to the small islet, Plaza Sur Island, where you’ll partake in a 2-hour guided hike. After discovering the islet’s unique landscape, return to the yacht for a final nightcap beneath the starlit skies of the Galapagos.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Enjoy a gourmet breakfast aboard Aqua Mare before disembarking Aqua Mare and heading to the final scheduled excursion. On the way to the airport, you will be driven to the highlands of Santa Cruz Island where twin craters are surrounded by lush vegetation.

Take in the last moments spent on this paradisiacal archipelago before flying out from Baltra Island’s airport to mainland Ecuador, followed by your connecting flight back home.

Meals included: breakfast.
